Missions
Missions at St. John's are a vital part of our ministry, reflecting our commitment to serving others and sharing God’s love. We engage in various local and global mission projects, from providing support to community organizations to participating in outreach efforts that make a tangible difference. Our congregation is actively involved in hands-on service, prayer, and giving, all aimed at transforming lives and spreading the gospel. Through these mission opportunities, we come together as a church family to live out our faith, meet needs, and make the world a better place.
Recent Mission Projects
Bethel Men's and Women's Shelter
St. John's provides and serves meals at the men's shelter, offering a warm and welcoming presence. In addition, we help organize and clean the facility to ensure it remains a safe and comfortable space. We also collect and deliver much-needed items to the shelter, supporting those in need with practical care and compassion.
Fort Mill Care Center
Since the inception of the FMCC, St. John's has been an active participant in collecting donations and delivering food to support their mission. We are proud to be part of this ongoing effort, helping to provide essential resources to those in need in our community.
Betty's Blessings
Betty's Blessings is a ministry dedicated to making and donating clothes for children in third-world countries. Through the efforts of volunteers, this ministry provides essential clothing to those in need, sharing God's love and compassion through every stitch and serving as a reminder of the power of community and generosity.
Defend the Fatherless
At St. John's, we are committed to supporting our community by preparing meals, building shelving for local organizations, and offering a Parent's Day Out program. These initiatives provide practical help, giving parents a much-needed break while also offering a space for children to engage in safe and enriching activities.
UMCOR
Through its work, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) embodies the church’s commitment to justice, mercy, and love, empowering individuals and communities to rebuild their lives after disasters and thrive in the face of adversity. St. John’s proudly supports UMCOR, joining hands with the global church to make a lasting difference in the world.
Epworth
Epworth Children's Home is a ministry dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children in need. With a focus on healing, growth, and empowerment, Epworth strives to help each child reach their full potential while instilling values of faith, hope, and love. St. John’s supports Epworth through donations and prayer, joining in the mission to provide care and a brighter future for children in need
Kindness Week
Kindness Week at St. John's is a special week each summer dedicated to spreading kindness throughout our community. During this week, our congregation comes together to serve through various service projects, including helping local organizations, cleaning public spaces, and offering support to families in need. Through Kindness Week, we aim to make a positive impact, showing that even small gestures can make a big difference in the lives of others.
